Questions
Is there a subscription?
No. You buy a credit pack once (€12 for 10, €49 for 60, €129 for 200 credits, prices in euros excluding VAT) and use the credits whenever you like. Credits never expire and there is nothing to cancel.
Does Balanced Statement export IIF, OFX or QIF?
No. Balanced Statement exports Excel (.xlsx, with a balance-check sheet), CSV, QuickBooks Web Connect (.qbo) and Xero bank statement CSV. DocuClipper's pricing page lists XLSX, CSV, QBO, IIF, OFX, QFX, QIF.
Is there a free trial?
Your first statement (up to 5 pages) is free on Balanced Statement. DocuClipper's pricing page offers a 14-day free trial, no credit card required.
What happens if the balance doesn't match?
Every result is checked: the opening balance plus all transactions must equal the closing balance, and every running balance printed on the statement is checked row by row. If a complete statement doesn't add up, we misread something: the result is marked Failed, the rows that don't reconcile are highlighted, and it's free (up to 5 times in 30 days, then it uses credits). If pages are missing or the statement prints no balances, the result is marked Not verified so you know to review it.
Can I convert scanned statements or photos?
Yes. Scanned PDFs and photos (JPG, PNG, HEIC) work; several photos become the pages of one statement. Up to 20 pages and 25 MB per statement. Flat, well-lit pages read best; if a digit is misread, the balance check flags the row.
